Bumper scuff & crack repair in Coventry

Kerbed, scuffed or cracked bumpers repaired and refinished, including plastic welding where the bumper has split rather than just scratched.

Body & paint

Scuffed or cracked

Bumpers take the brunt of car park knocks and low-speed shunts. Where the plastic has scuffed or cracked but not shattered, we repair and refinish it rather than replacing the whole bumper.

Splits and cracks are plastic welded from behind before the surface is filled, primed and painted to match, so the repair holds and the finish looks right.

Common questions

How much does bumper repair cost?
It depends on the damage, so this one is quoted on inspection. Send photos and we will give you a guide price the same day.
Can a cracked bumper be repaired or does it need replacing?
Most cracks and splits can be plastic welded and refinished rather than replaced, which is cheaper and keeps the original part on the car. We will tell you which makes sense once we have seen it.
How long does it take?
Depends on the damage - this is confirmed with your quote.
What do you need to give me a price?
Photos of the damage and your registration. Send them through the quote form and we respond the same day, Monday to Saturday.

Aftercare

Looking after it afterwards

  • Don't wash anything painted with chemicals (traffic film remover, snow foam, strong shampoos) for 3 to 4 weeks while the new paint fully hardens.
  • Hand wash with plain water and a soft mitt in that time, and keep pressure washers well back from the repair.
  • Hold off on waxing or polishing the repaired area for 30 days.

We send these again by email when you collect the car.
