SMART repair in Coventry

Fix the damaged patch, not the whole panel. SMART stands for small to medium area repair technique, and it is quicker and cheaper than respraying a full panel.

Body & paint

What SMART repair means

Instead of respraying a whole panel, we repair just the damaged area and blend the new paint into what is already there. That keeps more of your original paintwork and usually means the car is back with you sooner.

It suits scuffs, small dents and localised scratches. Paint is colour matched to your car's code so the repair does not stand out.

  • Localised scratches rather than damage across a whole panel
  • Anyone who wants one mark dealt with rather than a full panel job

Common questions

How much does a SMART repair cost?
SMART repairs start from £80 + VAT. This is a guide for cosmetic work and is confirmed once we have seen the car.
How long does it take?
Typically 24 hours.
Is SMART repair right for every kind of damage?
No. It suits localised damage where the panel itself is still straight. Creased, torn or structural damage is a panel repair and is quoted on inspection. We do not do chassis or jig straightening.
What do you need to give me a price?
Photos of the damage and your registration. Send them through the quote form and we respond the same day, Monday to Saturday.

Aftercare

Looking after it afterwards

  • Don't wash anything painted with chemicals (traffic film remover, snow foam, strong shampoos) for 3 to 4 weeks while the new paint fully hardens.
  • Hand wash with plain water and a soft mitt in that time, and keep pressure washers well back from the repair.
  • Hold off on waxing or polishing the repaired area for 30 days.

We send these again by email when you collect the car.
